Wines from Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate

Benguela Cove Wine Estate in South Africa is a specialist producer and wine destination at the start of the Hermanus Wine Route in the Walker Bay region.

The estate produces a range of award-winning wines from Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Sémillon, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Malbec and Mourvèdre grapes.

Visit us: if you are planning a holiday in South Africa, why not visit the vineyard? We have restaurants, bars and a hotel on the Garden Route.

“The vineyard position is unique, at the edge of the southern coast of South Africa. The south-easterly sea breeze is chilled by the Benguela Current flowing up from Antarctica, cooling the grapes during the sunny growing season. It makes for a longer than usual ripening period and ideal temperature fluctuation, which plays a key part in the superb quality of the wine making.”

Mannings Heath Golf Club & Wine Estate

As a member of the Wine Club, we would love to welcome you to our English estate, set in 500 acres of beautiful parkland.

The 100 year-old clubhouse at Mannings Heath Golf Club and Wine Estate features the new Benguela Brasserie and wine tasting Spike bar, hosting wine-themed events. They include food pairings with chocolate and cheese, open to the public all year round.

One of the club’s two 18-hole courses was converted to 9 holes last year, to create space to cultivate a new English vineyard.

The estate is a showcase for wines from Benguela Cove and hosts a range of events throughout the year, open 7 days a week.

  • Wine tastings and pairings with chocolate or cheese
  • Lunch and dinner at Benguela Brasserie
